                 By Eliza Fletcher-Ha year 5 room 7

One day, I was going fishing with my Dad, and my granddad, I was
excited. My name is Ella by the way. Me and Dad were walking
towards the shed, “can you please pass me the oar, Ella?” said Dad,
“sure thing” I said, with a big smile on my face. “Come on, grandpa
is waiting, for us” said Dad, waiting for me, “okay wait!
I’m just taking my shoes off, Daddy!” I said putting my shoes and
socks off quickly, “I’ll meet you next to the beach!” He said waving
bye to me.
Later on, I finally, finally! Finish putting my  shoes off (and socks.)
I was wondering where my Dad and grandpa were, so I ran up a
mountain caring my shoes, I also paired my socks, and put them in my
shoes.

I was looking for my Dad and grandpa, and then I saw them waving at
me, “Ella! Ella! over here!” they said shouting, then I ran down the
hill. When I got off the mountain. When I was there, I ran to my Dad’s
arms “I thought I lost you Daddy” I said
in his arms, “I’m sorry I’ll haved of done that” he said. “Let’s go to
the boat now, come on!” he said. After 2 min of walking we got there,
“I’m going first!” I said “Wait! You have to wear a life jacket!” He
said “oh, okay” I said. “Wait, do YOU have to wear a life jacket? I
asked “yes, everyone has to, right granddad” he said looking at
grandpa and me, “yes, just like your Dad said” said grandpa looking
at me.

After we put our life jackets on we hopped on the boat. I put the bait
on the hook, (from the fishing rod.) I waited and waited, and waited,
just then my hook was moving, “I’ve got one! I’ve got one!”
I shouted. I reeled it in, “I’ve...Got, this” I struggled “come on” said
Dad “Ella, you got this!”

“Ah ha!” I said, “Good girl, Ella” said Dad “I’m proud of you, and
so will Mum.” Then I put it on my lap, I got my wet towel,
Then I got my ruler, and measure it. It was about 27 centre mins,
“oh, Daddy my fish is only 27 centre minters” I said looking at my
fish, “I’m sorry, Ella. We will come here next time, though.”
said Dad, patting my back. So there we went travelling back home, in
the sunset “look at that, isn't it wonderful?” Said grandpa, pointing at
the sunset, “it sure is” I said hugging my Dad.
