This is a Komodo dragon.
A Komodo dragon lives in Komodo, Indonesia. These dragons are reptiles. They can eat anything bigger than them! They are up to 10 feet! So it’s can also be smaller or bigger than a croccide!

The largest one on record weighed 370 pounds, or as much as about six third graders!

If you see a Komodo dragon you will have to be careful because they have a tongue that have gems that can also make you sick!
Like most reptiles, they can see or hear that good, but instead the Komodo dragon has a strong sense of smell.
Fun Facts About a Komodo dragon:
  • Did you know that the Komodo dragon didn’t use their noses to smell? - They use their tongue!
  • Did you also know that they can smell food several miles away if the wind is blowing in the right direction!
  • A Komodo dragon has 4 legs, but can run very fast!

They can eat dead animals, or if they can’t find any, they would hunt.
They have sharp claws and teeth and, when needed, can move pretty fast. They are the only lizards known to attack, kill, and eat animals that are bigger than they are. They might hunt a goat, deer, and even water buffalo!
Young Komodo dragons eat insects, smaller mammals, and birds. How? They climb trees and catch them. They will eat anything they can get their claws on, as long as it’s meaty.

On Tuesday Kauri and Purir went to track events, 100m, 200m, 400m
and 800m, there were also field events which were, discus, shot put,
high jump, long jump, at lovelock track, it was very tiring.

When we got there all the girls went to the all the track events. First
we did the 800m race. First up, the year 3s! They were good I guess,
second, year 4s! Man I thought there good, third,
Year 5s! I was thinking. Should I? Nah, or should I? I thought for a
while . . .

I got up and did it.

I can’t believe it! I have to do 2 rounds! But I still went.

“On your marks . . . get set . . . *Bang!*”

I ran and ran, and ran.

To be continued?
